Rose-Learning Tutoring Lessons
What is a typical lesson with a
Rose-Learning tutor like?
- Lessons are interactive and challenging. Material is to be brought to every lesson and the weeks material that the student has learned and/or has trouble with will be covered. Your tutor will sit down with you one on one and help you to understand the material. Typically struggling with material is normal in the learning process, and Rose-Learning is here to help you overcome that.
What is an online tutoring session?
- In order to facilitate areas outside the tutors reach we incorporate new whiteboard technology to help the student and tutor communicate hundreds of miles away via the internet. This allows the student to hear the problem solving skills, see the problem worked out, and practice their new skills with a tutor.
What are some of the classes
Rose-Hulman students take?
- Rose-Hulman students that work for Rose-Learning take a multitude of classes including calculus 1,2,3 and Physics 1,2,3. Rose-Hulman prepares them for a wide variety of challenging academic questions that students have. On the science side all of our tutors have had chemistry or biology with labs, allowing them to handle hands on conceptual questions.
How long should my child, student or I get tutored?
- At first we start off with a 1 hour lesson to help integrate the tutor and student. Then we help the student to decide if he/she should take more than 1 hour at a time. Typically if the student is struggling with the material we suggest a 2 hour lesson, one hour to help build a stronger foundation on old material and the 2nd hour to learn new material. A maximum of 3 hours is preferred for Rose-Learning because we have noticed that it get's hard to concentrate after 3 hours of studying and would not be beneficial to spend more time studying.
